At Southwestern Energy, we embed responsible governance practices into everything we do. This means that while we work to drive business and operational results that create value for our stakeholders, we also operate with an unwavering focus on ethics, integrity, and exemplary corporate citizenship.
Strong corporate governance is a cornerstone of being a responsible corporate citizen. We are focused on minimizing the Company’s impact on the environment and the communities where we work and live. In 2020, we made continued progress in expanding the ways we do so through our Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) policies and oversight.
Ethics and Integrity
SWN has a strong reputation for ethical behavior and fair dealing; a reputation we have earned by conducting our business and building shareholder value with integrity and character according to the highest ethical standards and values.
Enterprise Risk Management and Corporate Responsibility Oversight
Enterprise risk management (ERM) is managed from the highest levels of our company. Our ERM process is directed by our Chief Financial Officer with input from leaders across our operating divisions and functions. And, a primary responsibility of SWN’s Board of Directors is to ensure processes are in place to identify and properly manage risks to the company and its business.
