| Before flames can flicker at the burner tip, natural gas must find its way from the wellhead to market. Once the well is ready to produce gas, the size of the well pad can be reduced, although a road and well pad are maintained throughout the life of the well. The collected gas may be treated for impurities and dehydrated. Oil, if any, is transported to refineries for processing. Gas gathering lines are also constructed to move the gas from the well to pipelines and ultimately into gas markets. |
