Southwestern Energy Company has developed a reputation for ethical behavior and fair dealing. Through your efforts, this reputation has been achieved by adhering to the following Statement of Principles:
- We will conduct our business and earn a profit with integrity according to the highest ethical standards and values that recognize (i) the dignity and worth of all individuals, (ii) commitment to excellence in performance, and (iii) courage of convictions and actions.
These basic principles provide a summary statement of the course of conduct that is expected of every Southwestern employee. We realize, however, that there are times in doing business when it can be more difficult to be certain of the right course of conduct. Accordingly, we have prepared the Business Conduct Guidelines to provide guidance on some of the situations you may encounter and questions that you may have. To ensure that the Business Conduct Guidelines are maintained and complied with, the Board of Directors has appointed Southwestern’s General Counsel to oversee this activity as Southwestern Energy Company’s Corporate Compliance Officer. We recognize that these Guidelines cannot anticipate every situation that you may encounter and we continue to expect every Southwestern employee to live up to our basic Statement of Principles, in every business relationship, at all times.
